Pike Pub
Seattle, WA
Me miss my time in the Pacific Northwest! Ahhh, that's where my Squatchin' really began as the brewery culture blossomed as I was settled in the high shoreline overlooking the Puget Sound. Ahhhh... Anyhoo, was back to Seattle to visit my Tacoma friendz and ventured into the city of Seattle to meet up with some peepz visiting Edge City (...as I like to call it...) for the first time! Everyone who's first timing Seattle has to hit Pike's Peak market and shop for cool trinketz while raw fish whiz by. Accordingly, we ended up at Pike's Pub for a few pintz. Now, Pike's Pub is the rare place that every tourist hits but still feels authentic. Such is the effect of a real deal brew house with the mash tunz, yeast brinkz, and fermentorz right out in the open! We walked into some Nirvana playing in the outer market and we were ready to get our Seattle on. The bartender wouldn't shut up about how my beer was brewed. I wish I had ordered a mixed drink like the rest of my crew lol. While brewery warehouses are certainly my happy place, I wasn't in the mood for a narrated brewery tour. But, small price to play for good company. Roni is my dear friend who farms out in the PNDub country. We met Space Steve at the Needle and happened to see him having a late dinner. And Chef had originally planned to see Rage Against the Machine at the Tacoma Dome, but when it was cancelled he kept his itinerary and hung with da Beer Man in da P-N-Dub!!!
